Last updated: November 2, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our online store (the “Site”) and any purchase made from Ride Ease.

Throughout these Terms, “Ride Ease,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the operator of the Site. “You” and “your” refer to any visitor, customer or person using the Site.

By accessing the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site.

Ride Ease is the professional seller of the products offered through the Site.

2. Eligibility and Personal Use

You must be at least the age of legal majority in your country or state to place an order.

Products sold through the Site are intended for personal and household use. You may not purchase products for unauthorized resale, commercial exploitation or fraudulent activity.

You agree to provide accurate, complete and current information when placing an order.

3. Products and Product Information

Ride Ease sells travel-comfort products, including anti-motion-sickness glasses for children and adults.

We make reasonable efforts to display product descriptions, dimensions, materials, colors and photographs accurately. However:

  • Colors may vary slightly depending on the screen;
  • Products may have minor variations within reasonable manufacturing tolerances;
  • Measurements may vary within reasonable manufacturing tolerances; and
  • Product packaging may change without affecting the product’s essential characteristics.

The product received must still conform to its description and to all mandatory consumer guarantees.

Customers should review the complete product description and size guide before ordering.

4. Safe Use of the Product

Ride Ease travel-comfort glasses must be used in accordance with the instructions, age guidance and limitations supplied with the product.

Before use:

  • Read the product instructions and confirm that the product is suitable for the intended user;
  • Check the frame and liquid-filled rings for cracks, leaks or other damage;
  • Ensure a comfortable fit without forcing or modifying the frame;
  • Supervise children during use; and
  • Stop using the product if it is damaged, leaks or causes discomfort.

Do not open, puncture or ingest the contents of the liquid-filled rings. Keep damaged products away from children.

The glasses do not replace seat belts, child car seats or other required travel-safety equipment. Users must remain properly restrained during vehicle travel.

Any product benefits are limited to the description and instructions provided. Individual experiences may vary; no universal result is promised.

Nothing in this section excludes liability for a defective or non-compliant product or limits mandatory consumer rights.

5. Prices and Currency

Product prices are displayed on the Site in the currency selected or shown during checkout.

Before completing an order, you will be shown the product price and any applicable shipping charges, taxes or other charges collected by us.

Prices may change at any time. A price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted, except where a correction is legally permitted.

If an obvious pricing or technical error occurs, we may contact you before accepting or fulfilling the order. If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will issue a refund to the original payment method.

6. Orders and Contract Formation

Adding a product to the shopping cart does not reserve it or create a sales contract.

By submitting an order, you make an offer to purchase the selected product under these Terms.

After placing an order, you should receive an automatic confirmation. This confirms that we received the order but does not necessarily mean that it has been accepted.

The sales contract is formed when we confirm acceptance or dispatch the order, depending on the confirmation provided to you and applicable law.

We may reject or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including:

  • The product is unavailable;
  • Payment cannot be authorized;
  • The shipping address is incomplete or unsupported;
  • Fraud or unauthorized activity is suspected;
  • A legal or regulatory restriction applies; or
  • An obvious pricing or technical error occurred.

If a paid order is cancelled, the amount collected will be refunded to the original payment method.

7. Payment

Payments are processed through Shopify Payments or another payment method available at checkout.

You agree to provide valid payment and billing information and confirm that you are authorized to use the selected payment method.

We do not directly store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes.

Payment providers may perform fraud-prevention checks and may decline or delay a transaction. Their services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Fulfillment and Shipping

Products may be stored, prepared and shipped by an external supplier, warehouse, fulfillment provider or carrier.

Ride Ease remains your contractual seller and point of contact for questions concerning orders, deliveries, returns, refunds and defective products.

Processing and estimated delivery times are provided in our Shipping Policy and during checkout where applicable. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed unless expressly stated as guaranteed.

Delays may occur because of:

  • High order volumes;
  • Carrier disruption;
  • Customs inspections;
  • Severe weather;
  • Incorrect address information;
  • Public holidays; or
  • Events outside our reasonable control.

We will provide assistance when an order is materially delayed, lost or damaged during delivery.

Where required by applicable consumer law, the risk of loss remains with Ride Ease until you or a person designated by you takes physical possession of the product.

For additional information, review our Shipping Policy.

9. Address Accuracy and Failed Delivery

You are responsible for checking your shipping address before placing an order.

If you notice an error, contact us immediately at infoclients@use.startmail.com. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after fulfillment has started.

If an order cannot be delivered because the address provided was incorrect, incomplete or inaccessible, reasonable reshipping costs may apply where permitted by law.

This does not affect your rights when a delivery problem was caused by Ride Ease, its supplier or the carrier.

10. Returns, Refunds and Order Cancellation

Returns, refunds and cancellations are governed by our Return and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Contact us before returning a product so that we can confirm the correct return procedure and return address.

Do not send a return to our business address unless customer service has expressly confirmed that address in writing.

Nothing in our Return and Refund Policy limits any mandatory right relating to:

  • Defective products;
  • Products that do not match their description;
  • Incorrect products;
  • Products damaged before delivery; or
  • Other statutory consumer protections.

11. European Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union or another jurisdiction providing an equivalent right, you generally have 14 days after receiving the product to withdraw from the purchase without providing a reason, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

To exercise this right, send a clear statement to:

Email: infoclients@use.startmail.com
Postal address: 3 Rue de la Plume, Belleville en Beaujolais, France

You must return the product within the legally applicable period after notifying us.

You may be responsible for the direct return cost if this was clearly communicated before purchase and applicable law permits it.

You may handle the product only as necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. You may be responsible for diminished value caused by handling beyond what would reasonably be permitted in a physical store.

Refunds will be issued within the legally required period using the original payment method, unless another method is expressly agreed.

We may withhold the refund until the returned product is received or you provide evidence that it has been sent, where legally permitted.

12. Legal Guarantees for European Consumers

European consumers benefit from mandatory legal guarantees, including the legal guarantee of conformity.

If a product is defective, does not match its description or does not function as reasonably expected, you may be entitled to:

  • Repair;
  • Replacement;
  • A price reduction; or
  • Cancellation of the contract and a refund,

depending on the circumstances and applicable law.

For eligible European purchases, the legal guarantee generally applies for a minimum of two years from delivery.

Any commercial guarantee offered by Ride Ease is additional to these statutory rights and does not replace or reduce them.

13. Promotions and Discount Codes

Promotions and discount codes may be subject to additional conditions displayed at the time of the offer.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash;
  • Only one code may be used per order;
  • Codes cannot be applied after an order has been completed;
  • Offers are valid only during the stated period; and
  • We may cancel a discount obtained through fraud, manipulation or technical error.

These rules do not affect rights acquired through a valid completed purchase.

14. Accuracy of Site Information

We make reasonable efforts to keep the Site accurate and current. However, occasional typographical errors, technical errors or temporary inaccuracies may occur.

We may correct information and update the Site when necessary, subject to applicable law and existing customer rights.

We do not guarantee that the Site will always be uninterrupted, error-free or available. Access may be temporarily restricted for maintenance, security or technical reasons.

15. Intellectual Property

The Site and its content—including the Ride Ease name, logos, photographs, graphics, videos, product presentations, written content and page layouts—are owned by or licensed to Ride Ease and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes.

Without prior written permission, you may not:

  • Copy or republish Site content;
  • Use product images for commercial purposes;
  • Modify or create derivative works from Site content;
  • Scrape or systematically extract Site data;
  • Use our trademarks in a misleading manner; or
  • Suggest an affiliation or endorsement that does not exist.

16. Reviews and User Content

If you submit a review, photograph, comment or other content, you confirm that:

  • The content is based on your genuine experience;
  • It is accurate and not misleading;
  • You own it or have permission to submit it;
  • It does not violate another person’s rights;
  • It contains no unlawful, abusive or defamatory material; and
  • It contains no malicious code or unauthorized advertising.

You grant Ride Ease a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and use submitted content in connection with the Site and our marketing, subject to applicable law and any consent requirements.

We may remove content that violates these Terms, but we are not required to publish every submission.

17. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Site:

  • For unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
  • To violate intellectual-property or privacy rights;
  • To submit false information;
  • To distribute malware or harmful code;
  • To interfere with Site security or operation;
  • To scrape or collect data without authorization;
  • To impersonate another person;
  • To make unauthorized purchases;
  • To manipulate reviews or promotions; or
  • To harass, threaten or harm another person.

We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the Site, customers or third parties.

18. Third-Party Services and Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or use services supplied by Shopify, payment providers, social-media platforms, analytics providers or other companies.

Third parties operate independently and may apply their own terms and privacy policies.

Ride Ease is not responsible for third-party websites or services that are outside our control. However, this does not remove any responsibility that Ride Ease has as the seller of your order.

19. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.

By using the Site, you acknowledge that personal information will be processed as described in that policy and in accordance with applicable law.

20. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site is provided on an “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that access to the Site will always be uninterrupted or free from technical errors.

This disclaimer does not apply to mandatory product guarantees, consumer rights or obligations that cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms excludes an express product promise displayed on the Site at the time of purchase.

21. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:

  • Fraud or intentional misconduct;
  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence;
  • Defective products where statutory liability applies;
  • Breach of mandatory consumer rights; or
  • Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to those limitations, Ride Ease is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

If you use the Site or purchase a product for business purposes, additional limitations may apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

22. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to compensate Ride Ease for reasonable losses arising directly from your unlawful use of the Site, violation of these Terms or infringement of another person’s rights.

This section does not apply where the loss resulted from Ride Ease’s own act, omission, negligence or breach of law, and it does not reduce mandatory consumer rights.

23. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site if you materially violate these Terms, engage in fraud, threaten Site security or use the Site unlawfully.

Termination does not affect rights or obligations arising from orders already accepted, except where cancellation is legally permitted.

24. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

The invalid provision will be interpreted or replaced only to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

25. No Waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we waive the right to enforce it later.

26. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy, constitute the agreement governing use of the Site and purchases from Ride Ease.

Mandatory consumer rights prevail over any conflicting provision.

27. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law.

If you are a consumer residing outside France, this choice of law does not remove mandatory protections granted by the laws of your country or state of residence.

Disputes may be brought before any court having jurisdiction under applicable consumer and procedural laws.

Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer to waive a legally protected right to bring a claim in an appropriate local court.

28. Complaints and Consumer Mediation

If you have a complaint, contact us first:

Email: infoclients@use.startmail.com
Postal address: Ride Ease, 3 Rue de la Plume, Belleville en Beaujolais, France

Please include your name, order number and a clear description of the issue.

If a consumer dispute cannot be resolved after a written complaint, an eligible consumer may contact the consumer mediator appointed by Ride Ease:

Mediator: [COMPLETE: Official name of the appointed consumer mediator]
Postal address: [COMPLETE]
Website:
Mediation request procedure: [COMPLETE]

Mediation is available subject to the conditions established by applicable law and does not prevent either party from exercising their legal rights.

29. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Site, products, business practices or legal requirements.

The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

Changes will not retroactively reduce rights acquired under an order that was already accepted.
